COMPETITION DETAILS

Overview:

The competition will feature the top 30 Nextel Cup and top 10 Busch Pit Crews in the country as they go head to head for the fastest pit stop. 

The competition will feature four identically prepared cars
Teams will be allowed to bring their own uniforms, air guns and jacks only
Four Officials will be present with the teams Crew Chief drawing a number to see which official will be present in their pit
Officials will check weight of fuel can, lug nut torque & record time
No Cup members can pit Busch teams
Pit crews can check and clean studs prior to their stop
Gun will sound to start the pit stop
Tire carriers must return over the wall, jack man and tire changers do not
Two time clocks in each pit will be stopped by the tire changers, the longest time will be recorded

Stage One

Ten rounds of four cars in each round

Fastest BGN time: $14,000
Fastest Cup time: $14,000

Stage Two

Four rounds of three cars in each round

Stage Three

Two rounds of two cars in each round

Stage Four

One round with two cars

Award for Stage Four

Fastest time: $100,000
Second Fastest time: $25,000

Bonus Round "The Powered by Tyson™ Pit Stop"

The top three teams plus one wild card team will have one final pit stop. (The fastest time in stage three that did not advance to stage four will advance to "The Powered by Tyson™ Pit Stop," in addition to the Stage Four teams)
All teams will compete at the same time.
The “Powered by Tyson™ Pit Stop” Bonus Round: The teams eligible for the bonus round will compete for $500,000 in prize money. The format for this round of competition will be announced soon.
